Good suggestions in this piece, however it is often the case that local businesses, my clientele, are looking for something really low-cost that also does not involve actually filming them on camera etc.  The simple answer is a professional-looking ’slideshow commercial’ that uses photos, company logo, graphical text and an announcer voice-over to tell the story of a local business.  Once this local commercial is optimized and posted to a number of video-hosting websites such as YouTube, the consistent result is high and often multiple organic link results for the client’s video.  My service Local Business Videos Online does this full service for just $750 for a 90-Day Trial, and then just $50 per month thereafter to monitor and manage links to the client’s video.  A solid return on investment if I do say so myself.  And we blow past entrenched organic links to websites all the time!  thx

Without doubt the use of video or online commercials as I prefer to say is beginning to play a key role in generating organic links on Google for local / geo-targeted businesses.  It puts a completely new spin on search engine optimization services, which to date of course have been strictly about getting websites and pages to rank well.  Thx for the interesting coverage.  Tim Tevlin, JiffySpots
