Clicks on a post title should open the post in a new tab. This allows us to quickly open the post, read it, close the tab, and get right back to browsing sphinn.

Clicks on the title of post should go directly to the post - not to the sphinn subpage for that post and then have to click again to get to the actual post. I realize you guys are trying to boost your pageviews but its a terrible user experience.

I created a similar calculator a few months back. It works similarly except it accounts for offline sales instead of online sales. So requires the user to know a bit about the rest of their sales cycle. I find it very useful when trying to propose an adwords campaign to our clients. Take a look:http://www.bluewatermedia.com/tools/roi-calculator.html

Great story. You should be writing fiction for a living. Not playing with Google like the rest of us goons.

Is it just me or does this sound like an advertisement for SEOsamba? I didnt really learn anything except the interviewer and interviewee are both very excited about SEOsamba.

I’ve seen this dozens of times. Google is associating some of the pages with one domain and the rest of the pages with the other domain. This is pretty common when a website is mirrored on two domains. Just look at the cache of the homepage. http://74.125.47.132/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.toronto.edu%2FThe homepage cache is associated with the utoronto.ca domain. You wont find the homepage cached on the other domain. (check for yourself). If you want to investigate dup content, the first place to look is Google’s index and see which pages are getting cached. Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but this isnt an example of a double standard for dup content. Its an extremely common example of how Google filters out the dup content.

No one has any feedback on this? I thought it was a pretty useful tool. I know there are a handful of other ROI calculators out there, but they usually cost money, are some sort of shareware, or are an overly complicated excel file.

Mostly i thought it would be useful to our sales team when they are talking to clients about PPC and adwords. I also thought it would help set better expectations for our clients

If this article had been proofread before publishing, I might be able to take it seriously.
