I was disappointed the post I wrote back in October wasn’t linked: Google Grants Application Process for Nonprofits. There are search marketing agencies who will work with nonprofits, and many of those nonprofits, contrary to popular belief, have sizable marketing budgets for all sorts of online marketing initiatives.
If I’m not mistaken. this post seems to argue that optimization is at odds with great content.Based on the title, I thought the post would talk about the frequency of making tweaks to your on-page optimization, especially as it relates to the simplest of changes, like titles and keywords on the page.

Lawyers go through law school (a post-graduate degree) and to be a practicing lawyer, one must pass a bar examination that is endorsed by the state bar, with discretion by the courts to accept those who pass the bar examination.Search engine marketing is in its infancy as a career and the path to becoming a search marketer cannot be compared to the path of becoming an attorney.

Sphunn because article marketing can be a good traffic generator, but I wouldn’t say it is an alternative to Stumbleupon, and especially not a better alternative to Stumbleupon traffic. Not all traffic is created equal, for sure, but Stumbleupon traffic definitely serves its purpose separately from article marketing.For those not in the know, Travis Sago has created a whole niche in the Internet Marketing field dedicated to article and ad marketing called the "Bum Marketing Method."
I would also recommend using Google’s Webmaster Central and Yahoo! Site Explorer to explore beyond just the Google site: command.
It’s one thing for it to be an advanced search feature, but a totally different thing to have it directly next to the search bar for EVERYONE to use and see. This is definitely news worth sphinning.
Really a nice article. I think following a daily regiment would prove successful for many people. This could prove helpful to clients just getting their hands into social networking.
Agree that it’s funny, albeit not very appropriate in almost all situations I find myself describing SEO.
The use of tools can surely automate some tasks, particularly in grabbing/looking for the robots.txt file, determining the presence and content of a title tag or meta tag, but SEO is more than just keywords, it’s also writing optimized copy that engages a user to take action towards a goal, amongst a billion other things. Tools will continue to help SEOs, but complete A-Z automation seems a lofty and (unachievable?) goal.
I would love to hear more on seo forecasting. And I’m glad Todd is bringing this up. SEO does depend on so many factors, that forecasting sales, increases in traffic, or any KPI is difficult.
I wouldn’t recommend "poaching," but this post still gets at the importance of integrating social media sites in reputation management.
