IMO, SEW Blog is no place to joke about things like that.

This is pretty old, they have been doing this since Microsoft Searchification Day 2007 on Sept. 27th.  More at http://searchengineland.com/070927-000001.php

I think you copied and pasted the wrong part of the description to explain it. :)
In short, search on amazon or wikipedia or ny times at Google and you will find a secondary search box that allows you to do a quick site search for those sites.

I never said IAC said they are dumping the technology.
Honestly Nicholas, what else can you say?  I respect you but I added my personal thoughts.
It is clear that Diller wants to focus on building out a search tool for women to ask questions on health and education, not to compete against Google.

note: not a policy change, it is the same policy.  they are just enforcing it now.

sydney,
So you are saying you wanted more than what we offered for the $50 you paid?  What more did you expect? I am asking, so we can make a better show for you next year...

Step back!  The California speed law?  "even if you didn't violate a posted speed limit, if you're driving faster than the police feel is safe, you can get a ticket."  Are you serious!  Is that still the law?

Expected... But serious, "nofollow doesn't work for wikis"?  Who is that guy?  (Ross Mayfield)

Wow, didn't mean for this to blow up.  I fully expected my 2 minutes Wired Wiki post to be deleted.  My only beef was with the nofollow comment (that it is only for blogs and not for wikis, I think it is for everything, including wikis).
In no way did I spend any amount of time for the Wiki I created to last more than 5 minutes on any Wiki site.
Sorry for all the problems. :)
