Good article Shor! Even though we've heard it before (that more attention needs to be paid to China, SEO-wise anyway), I'm not sure many of us are actually doing anything about it.
onreact:
No offence here man, but geez... in my eyes, your comments around here lately have really taken a negative turn. Seems to be some unwarranted hostility and personal attacks floating around... hope all is well.
"Hum...could this explain why seomoz.com is now #64 for the term "seo"?"
I've got them at #16 on my results...
Yeah... I'm also seeing the video as removed? To protect the innocent from incrimination, Pat? :P
Story: Google Hijacking Sites Now?
See the updates to this in the post... the blog itself was running on blogger, so not a hijack... just a blogger error :)
Um, correct me if I'm wrong BradC, but didn't bbcarter (aka "Brian Carter") actually write the post?
Story: New Toolbar PageRanks coming
@ifindtrends:
"You could have at least put a picture of your cat in here. It would have been more interesting."
For someone who isn't the least bit interested in it, you sure seem to have a lot to say about it... just sayin' is all :)
Now now, Chris...
Sphinn is a democracy :P Anyone has the right to use their desphinn as they see fit... there's no need to take it personally :)
Story: Unintended Consequences
Somewhat related, are those no follows on the "what's new?" submissions new?
"The stuff Bill is sphinning isn't spam."
To be fair here Tamar, I actually have personally reported stories as blatant spam (that were subsequently deleted) that had been sphunn by Bill's account.
On one occassion I actually think I left a comment along the lines of "Why would you sphinn this Bill?", but unfortunately the story was pulled before he had a chance to reply. Not trying to incite anything here, but just giving my own experience.
P1R: Side note here, but I really wish you would stop labelling everything you desphinn as "Sphinn Sphamm". If you think it's spam, then use the "report spam" button. If you desphinn, then - my opinion, of course - it's better to provide a reason more than simply "spam".
Sigh. I didn't want to desphinn or anything, and due respect to both Michaels... but this kind of thing is exactly what we don't need in our industry. Just my 2c.

Story: The New Sphinn Blog Launches
After all the furor made about how "black hat" the "Give It Up" session was, I must admit, I'm surprised to see how tame it really was...
Not only musicians, but also music bloggers :P If anyone's interested: http://www.fuzz.com/blip/user/burgo
I agree sza... I was surprised by this as well, and commented the same over at the original post at http://sphinn.com/story/53527#c45458
Personally, I thought a link, or at least a hat tip more than "a reader" was called for.
Sundar... thanks for doing the research there. Surprised you didn't get a hat tip past "a reader" in the updated article at http://searchengineland.com/080619-143511.php
No problem Sundar. I see that I wasn't the only one, and that sza commented similarly here: http://sphinn.com/story/54313#c45595
Ditto on the automatic upgrade plugin... anyone had much experience with this? good,bad, etc?
Hey Gab,
This was also sphunn over at http://sphinn.com/story/47533
Good news nonetheless tho :)
@mvandermar,
Yeah, but what a captivating way to tell it. I mean, Khan? Spock? Sheer brilliance!
Sigh. I guess it's just me :P
