Fantastic article by David. Makes sense but I guess only time will tell. Google don't like admitting they're wrong... not even a little.
The decscription holds no value in the algo fo search engines, that's been stated many many times since SEO's back in the old days use to game it. But it still holds value... in the way users see it and that's what's stated in the video.
Thanks Chris1.
I have no idea who the person who wrote on the Shoemony blog is. As long as someone gets even a bit of value from it, I am happy. I don't care how it's reproduced.
Well, I wouldn't agree with the "Party Animal" and certainly not with the "Most likely to drink the bar" nominees OR winners. Tose titles do not and never will be rightfully owned by anyone from the US ;)
@theGypsy: Apologies, I don't think I've actually been to a conference with you ;) Those that I have, I remember quite clearly (that's how early it was) those sneaking off to bed.
"It isn't 2002 anymore. You can't just open an AdWords account, go in there, and play around. Sorry." I couldn't have put it better myself.
Adding friends doesn't suck up too many resources anyway. My account is on Auto RE-Follow. The feature is there, so I don't think this is an issue.
Following so many people is useless unless they follow you back.
I didn't write it :)
I punch walls after listening to YOUR rants. Blogging just wouldn't cut it ;)
Great analysis Branko although with all the flux that's been going on lately, I wouldn't place the blame on nofollow. This does lead to an interesting theory of over-optimization though. :)
Good idea and a good incentive to submit only higher quality content. I agree with David Wallace though, I doubt it will keep the spammers out but to be honest, I think there is a fantastic job being done already.
Will stories that went hot be nofollowed only on the home page or nofollowed forever in the archives?
Great article Rebecca. I'll send the release form for the use of my image by FedEx later.
Thought this was a little too basic for me to submit myself, but I appreciate the sphinn anyway Weip!
Story: AdWords Quality Score FAQ
Absolutely brilliant article. Probably the best there is on QS that's out there now. Jeremy did a fantastic job.
Some really great points here. My fav: You have no idea who your ideal customer is and therefor you don’t know how to write for that person.
Ahhh, G1smd, you beat me to it.
So yea, Session Thursday night and a meetup in the Hilton Monday night. If anyone is interested in Simian Mobile Disco, that's on Friday night.
Anyone staying in Jurys?
