Very interesting method for tracking user activity. I will def. be using this on some of my clients and personal projects in the future :)
Unfortunately the first back link tool's API was used up for the day so I did not get to test it out :(. The last 2 are very imformative though. One of my favorite link analysis tool has always been the one at webuildpages.com but that is no longer free! I think Link Diagnosis is def. one of my top 10 now :) Thanx!
Sorry if this is a little of topic:
One of the bigest issues with some web design and development companies that try to take on SEO by themselves is the fact that they have a hard time adapting to the fact that SEO takes place from start to finish and that the SEO director should be part of everything from design to development. Before a project is ever started the SEO team needs to develop a solid game plan and needs to be able to guide the design and development team in the right direction and even the sales team which some CEOs like to be a big part of and have a hard time fully understanding or listening to their SEO team etc. etc. etc.
You know what I mean? Let your SEO team develop a solid game plan from the start and follow it to the T and allow them to change things as needed on the fly...
After reading this article I have to say an SEO company def. knows best and not anyone without experience can make a web site rank well within organic results off of research. Through extensive testing and past experience a good SEO firm can develop a solid and proven game plan that will suceed. :)
I spent a good 1.5hr reading this article and all the articles linked to within the content of this article. Very informative, thanx!
Well said! I passed that article onto the CEO of the company I am working for. We are great at getting good search engine rankings and traffic. If we only focused more on conversion rates then we would be 100 Xs beter!
Short and clean URLs are good for search engine indexing, a search engine usualy will not crawl long URLs unless the site has a strong presence online (like a newspaper site).
Well that's good to know. I'm glad I stuck with using dashes instead of underscores, even though I heard through the grape vine that both underscores and dashes were treated the same I had the feeling that they were not :).
Take care and thanx for keeping us up-to-date,
Jacob Kerr
