There is further optimisation that can be made to feedburner for increased benefit, such as making sure your feedburner feed is passing link juice.
I wrote a blog post about this and other techniques recently.

Hey Bob,
Indeed, I'm asking questions of the Sphinn community.
This has nothing to do with your and your content. As a semmy nominee, I can only assume you have plenty of great content.
I don't find the content of your article innovative and I find it hard to read. So I ask the question. Why is it on the front page.
"But I do want to point out how rude you are being to the people who sphunn the article. It is actually them you are insulting more than me. A little decorum and respect for your peers goes a long way in tight knit communities."
I'm sorry that I have offended you but the people who voted for your article decide whether I am offending them or asking a question that should be easily answered.
I am not asking questions about the quality of your content. I am asking why this is deemed as a must read by (which is what being on the first page should be).
Seriously, why is this on the first page? The article is poorly structured, difficult to read and there is no original content or information.
I don’t see why it matters that you 302 your feed to feedburner? Surely that means you're not passing juice to feedburner and you're also telling the engines that it is a temporary move.
Perhaps I'm missing something in my understanding?
Though what is important is that you make sure feedburner is 301ing back to your site.
