I can relate! My honeymoon is during SES San Jose. But I didn't postpone....we're actually going to cruise up to San Jose (from San Diego) for a day so I can speak and hit the sessions that day.
Comments add user-generated content. Just got to be good about weeding out the crappy comments that have no additive value. People will get the picture.
IMHO, who cares if people get the anchor text they want (as long as it's not P/P/C related) if they’re adding to the discussion and coming back frequently in some cases?
Not wanting to learn or know grey/blackhat SEO even if you never practice or implement it is just crazy. It seems so many grey/black tactics can be extracted, strategize, and formulated in a whitehat manner. It's a matter of creativity.
Network security admins often get good by learning the ways of the darkside and learning how to hack servers themselves. I feel it's great to get a mix of BOTH kinds of content at SMX Advance.
I love SMX Advance and can't wait for it again next year.

@rand - I usually don't submit SEOmoz stuff to Sphinn either but I definitely feel this is different.
Can I ask why you feel the way you feel about SEOmoz content on Sphinn?
@evilgreenmonkey weekend 48hrs isnt the same as weekday 48 hrs on sphinn. i know there's not a lot you can do on Pligg but is that something you can change manually on weekends to make it more fair? Otherwise Sphinn will succomb to an onslaught of Monday morning submissions.

@SlightlyShadySEO. I'm pondering it myself as is Gab. I've already got my bachelors degree I'm doing my masters degree now but still have like two years ahead and it's holding me back from what I really want to achieve and costing a ton.
Haha. I figured it might be a problem but am currently talkin to Danny about getting an Official SMX/SEL/Sphinn store open. Surprised this hasn't been pulled yet :)
