Google's determination to establish and maintain a monopoly whilst portraying itself as a benevolent corporation is shocking to everyone but those who use other search engines to discover what Google are really up to.
Although the themes are all rather nice, now that they've been on Problogger they're going to be everywhere. It would be so great to find some remarkable, undiscovered themes. I happen to be looking for one so if you find one... (hint, hint).
Heck, your blog doesn't have to be 90 days old to attract sploggers. One of mine is just 2 weeks old and I'm already finding its content scraped and posted on a Malaysian blog. Still, very good advice especially for folks who don't know they can use Jools' plugin to turn those scraped entries into incoming links.
You've got an excellent case study here for the argument that less-frequent posting results in readers clicking through on more offsite links. I'd been wondering what to do with one of my blogs (since I need to cut back) and I intend to follow this advice to see if it might result in more profit for less work. Thanks!
All excellent points, particularly the bit about bloggers neglecting to participate in their own comment section. Readers want interaction. Replying to their comments changes a blog from a soapbox to a community.
