I smell a law suit. Try to get a judge to beleive that the Google or Microsfot owned SEO Firm did not have inside knowledge of how their algo worked in order to rank their clients. So now Google and MSN do not accept payment for placement unless you pay for placement. Huh?
The theme in SU seems to be finding new sites. Once you've been stumbled a few times you're no longer new and get less traffic. I don't know, I'm I wrong?
Digg gives you a warning that your submission may be a duplicate but it is often ignored and posted anyway. The one with the best headline or the poster with the most Digg friends usually wins.
I guess this is what happens when you buy someone else's software and try to integrate it with your existing software. The old Urchin Tracker code is not playing nice with Adwords.
If you shouldn't use tabs to navigate to different areas then what should you use. I always thought is was rather logical. A tab for each main section of a site. I tab attracts a users attention to different areas of the site.
Good article. There is a lot to do to get a blog popular and it can seem daunting. Especially someone just starting up and posting part-time. Everything can be done if it is just broken-up into smaller chunks done everyday.
I don't agree with mvandemar. quote ..."elongated URL's, non-301 redirects, Javascript or Flash navigation (poor crawlability), titles that are too long, frame use, and too much HTML on the page."
This is all SEO. Anything that gets in the way of your content being crawled and indexed means that your site in not optimized.
Can a flash site get ranked well in the SERPS? Yes. Is it harder to get a flash site ranked well compared to a site were the content is easily crawled? Absolutely.
No problem. Nit picking your use of the word "and" does not mean that your information was not good.
I changed it to link directly to the study page which is what I meant to do in the first place. My mistake.
