Techincally "bounce" rate isn't affected by how long someone stays on a page, only whether they visit more than one page on your site. So I'm not sure if adding video will impact bounce rate at all. I also think that whether to add video is completely dependent on what audience you are trying to convert to customers. Just my two cents.
Excellent article about Digg and why it might not be the best solution for quality traffic for B2B businesses.
I did an experiment with soclal bookmarking recently: StumbleUpon.com

The visitor traffic has an extremely high bounce rate, which might be typical for blogs, I'm not sure.

I agree with the others here that you can get a spike of traffic, but the quality of the traffic (measured by bounce rate and length of stay) is not that good. I did an experiment of my own with Stumbleupon and here were my results: http://aldebaranwebdesign.com/blog/stumbleupon-my-experiment-to-increase-website-traffic-using-stumbleuponcom/
