Thanks for your feedback and checking out my post but, that is the formula and those are the numbers. That said, please feel free to check my math. :) Keep in mind, it takes 700-1000 machines to process a single query. I think the difference between "good tools" and "bad tools" as well as the key issue is, some tools obey robots directives and/or have permission from Google while others do not.
You're totally right if it weren't for users clicking ppc ads, Google may not be where it is today.
I'm pretty sure RSS is acronym for "Really Simple Syndication" and not "Rich Site Summary"(.91).

Either way, great sphinn and resource for RSS tools!
Either way, pretty interesting when you consider Yahoo had four times as many complaints with 1/3 the market share and that they also happen to be the only paid member in the pair.

Check out bbb's highly rigid criteria for accreditation after payment: : ) http://sanjose.bbb.org/localstandards
lol... oops, I was trying to sphinn my first knol post and didn't mean to link drop my profile page. Typically I wouldn't even stoop so low but, being the first "knol on sphinn" was a gimmick that seemed too nice to pass up.
Sorry to be a problem child, wasn't intentional : )
Forget the screen shots and video, I'll tell you how to access the new experiment!

@peterryan
Google has updated their announcement and confirms ActionScript 3. I've posted more here:

Though Google allows text sitemaps, JohnMu doesn't mention it here and suggests using sitemaps.org.
Story: Are SEO Forums Still Needed?
I blog, moderate on SEW and have 10 years in SEO but in my opinion, forums are invaluable and especially in a "search agency" setting. It's much easier answering a client's question when you've already answered it several times in the forums.
Story: Google's New Fav Icon
Barry, I thought your description was fine!
At the same time I wonder if this is a beta? This move seems kind of odd in terms of branding because I don't think most users identify the lower case or second g in "Google" as being the same font used in the new favicon. I think the original "G" without the box would be better for users and branding than "g"! Just my two cents... Honestly, it's a little ridiculous that a favicon change can create such a buzz...
Yeah, safe to say they would do it again if they thought they could get away with it!
Shhh, don't tell this page:
https://www.aboutus.org/au_web_services/sponsor/page/?title=Google.com
"Increase your results in the search engines."
>What a nob, It has FA to do with the WHOIS feature on google now.
You are correct esurn, this issue was fixed after I blogged it!
>You're just bitching because domaintools didn't add a nofollow on the advertising they sold. Yawn. Nob.
No competition here, buying and selling links that pass PageRank is a violation of Google Guidelines. Yawn at the guidelines and you might find your site has been banned from Google...
;)
Ummm... yeah that's ugly as in the word and U.G.L.Y.! : )
According to the application in question, it's for the word "Seo" and not an abbreviation comprised of three letters. Also, I can't find the word "search", "engine" and/or "optimization" in the application. Have a look for yourself and let me know if I'm missing something here:

Also "Seo" is already trademarked:

As blogged a few weeks ago, this is either great link bait or just silly!
