I know for a fact that Google is still allowing sites to use different URLs then the landing page. We work with a client that uses a third party PPC company that drives traffic to the third party's landing page, but displays the companies URL in the ad. This third party company states that they have special priviledges from Google due to their ad spend. Not sure if this is fluffy, but their ads are running without any problems.
Story: SEO/SEM Job Market Growing?
In the Central Florida area SEO jobs are few and far between. Those jobs that are currently out there are typically for senior level (manager/director). I think cities that have a larger number of "Internet" related companies understand the importance of SEO and it's value, thus larger demand for SEO's.
Looking at the forest here...I really see Google trying to push webmasters into Web Usability Standards to provide the end user a better web experience.

I like the desphinn. I have not used it much. I do say we need a spam report for comments. I have seen al ot of link spam entering into the comments.
I like to touch on the point in the article. While reviews are a part of the local search algo, I have found that having links on "local" sites are a bigger part. If you can get associated into a network of local websites you have a better chance at moving up in the one box results. We had one client at the #8 spot that had more reviews than the top listing. Looking at the top listing back links we determined that their strength was coming from localized web sites.
I tried it in IE 7 and the chart float above the text. I went to the latets FF and downloaded the toolbar and the charts do not come up. Ran three links and on the third got an error message that I can not reproduce From what I saw the tool was alright.
Google Bomb is not fixed. Google has just manually altered their algo to handle this instance as well as the infamous Stephen Colbert's "Greatest living American". These Google Bombs are just hand fixes. If you really think about it everyone is Google Bombing (i.e. using selective anchor text to rank for a particular key phrase).
