I think IE7 is OK now that it has had a zillion updates due to all those crash reports sent to Microsoft no doubt... I don't think I will bother to update to IE8 until about 6 months after launch as it's bound to be full of security loopholes and bugs... sorry 'features'. Firefox is still the one for me, and if you look at the W3C usage stats, more than 45% of people agree with me!
IE isn't that bad nowadays... pity it still has some 'issues' with CSS support though. I do use Firefox myself though... it's open source so of course it is superior!
Yes the logic of the NoFollow tag is beyond me, like you said, if you don't trust a site then why in the name of all that is holy would you link to it and give said page much needed link juice in the first place?!
I think you're right about that one fireflyseo, google are getting very like M$ in their use of the general public to do their work for them - I really can't see any use for the nofollow tag except to be used by goooogle as a backup to their pagerank markers. I would not be at all surprised if they took all this 'nofollow' data and incorporated in later algo changes!

Nice that you do recognise that design is just as important, after all what's the point in getting thousands of targetted visitors to the site when you scare them off with crappy graphics and layout!
A lot more interesting than the last Ad:tech conference I was at in 'that there London'...
If you had Google panties, would not everyone be trying to get around them to get results?!
Story: SES London 2008
Yep I'll be there, probably the most important SEO conference on this side of the planet so would be a bit daft to miss it! I must say the packages are a bit on the expensive side, but at least you can get into the expo hall at a reasonable price (or free if you book online).
Weird, I was just thinking about how this whole economic crash thing would affect the SEO industry when i was watching the news this morning!
Seems to me that everything that happens in the states does have some latency in the UK but eventually we do catch up, only questions are when, where and how much we are going to be affected by it all.
I suppose that as online shopping is now at it's highest level ever the meltdown will not affect everyone so much, as if there is one thing that online shops needs it's effective SEO!
So what exactly is wrong with Twitter then? Seems like you guys are down on it a lot going by your posts on this. Twitter is fantastic and I spend loads of time on it every day!
