I totally missed where Rob announced it, but anyway I still have thoughts.
This is the easiest and most common way to exploit a site. Always pay extra attention to your input fields. In that post is a link to a post on Google and it gives you some of the most basic ways to check xss input abilities on your site.
Story: Am I an Advanced SEO?
Just a second to laugh at ranking for seo pimp, what kind of conversion ratio are we seeing from that? Nice Tim.
I actually learned a few things and I did not have to go. You know I wish I could of made it though.
"Not even sure what to say Ann... it's just silly. One thing I believe that sets me apart from the average SEO is the ability to kick a$$ with onsite thus saving uber cash being thrown at link building.... if anything, as search engines try and break their link addictions and the rise of user performance metrics.... onpage/site will actually become more important...."
Wow, I couldn't of said that better myself. After redesigning my template this week, I took a closer look at onsite (internal) opt, and I can already see the difference. Saved me buku bucks for a specific keyword I was going to start targeting.
Wow, he really brings up some good points in that post. For sure gonna make my roundup for the week.
Sorta on the fence about this one though. I like to control the flow, but I try not to get obessive about it.
I don't condone those methods, but persay you were going to do something like that. It would be good advice in that post.
That is about the dumbest post I ever seen. Where is the intel for that post gathered OR did you just make it up?
In reality though, deep pages are not any harder to rank than a less deep page. I wouldn't dare compare it to the front page, but if you focus hard enough on that deep page it will rank just as easy as another.
I thought that was a pretty good sum, tim. Good job and evaluation there. Def worth reading.
I work closely with designers everyday and most of them are clueless into the world of SEO. This concept works both ways in most cases.
An awesome post, great job tim. If you haven't taken a second to read it you should.
Yeah it sucks. Hunt up a program called windows live writer, it is like blogging through your desktop with a shit load of features. I can't even tell you all of them.
