@chrisbrogan - thanks for posting. nice article.
FYI, the story is actualy about how Jim likes the HubSpot blog and webinars and some things he (Jim Spenser from JBS Partners) would do to improve our blog layout. So the webinar was ours but the advice in the article is actually from Jim (not a HubSpotter, but still a sharp guy clearly).
I hope I was not too harsh. But really I am just sick of all these garbage SEO wannabes who give the entire world unrealistic expectations and a bad name to Internet marketing. It hurts the entire industry. Its getting to the point of almost needing a licensing or regulation or something. Yuck!!!!
I really do hate these spammers. Nice story Todd Mintz - I missed that one on your site - yours is much more thorough and less emotional analysis than mine. :) Cheers.
@toprank - I agree! I was shocked. I needed help picking up my jaw off the floor.
@TimDineen - I think most companies either are frusrated with thier SEO results, or... in many cases, should be frustrated but don't know that they should be.
The other thing I am learning is that lots of people don't really understand the difference between SEO and PPC. We (in the SEO and Internet marketing community) have a lot of educating to do.
Thanks,
- Mike Volpe (article author)
