Thanks for the interesting article. Local Search will get a more important issue, I am sure. It is still underrated today.
Another great and very useful article from Danny Dover. I would recommend it as a must-read for blogging beginners.
LMAO - that's funny. But nevertheless that's also very creative marketing. :-))
Really a nice article - to the point it describes how companies can benefit from integrating social media tools. Thanks for that.
Some interesting thoughts - anyway, here in germany the social media thing is still not quite as big as it is in the states.
social news - not really important.
social bookmarking - okay, has some users.
social networking - yeah, widely spread but not for business reasons.
video sharing - all young people watch videos on youtube, that's it.
photo sharing - niche.
Wow, some of these tools i even didn't know so far. A pity some of the german social sites don't offer tools like that. Services like reddit and propeller aren't that popular in germany, but local sites like mister-wong.de and yigg.de
Really some useful hints. Thanks for sharing some tipps for creating neat blog content.
Thx for the nice list. I could add some sites for the German market - there you have mister-wong.de (social bookmarking), studivz.de (social networking), xing.com (social networking), myvideo.de (videosharing) and yigg.de (social news) which should be the ones which make the biggest traffic.
international sites like del.icio.us or facebook.com are not that successful, as long as they are not translated into german.
Poo Slinging... *ugh* But thx for the nice essay on social marketing. I guess it is still a problem how to explain social media marketing to most clients.
Nice Tutorial. I wonder if the Backlinkchecker in the Google Webmaster Tools is working properly now?
Does anybody use the Yahoo Site Explorer as well?
