I didn't realize the story was on Digg. All I know if it is my wife emailed me a link to the Ebay page.
MATT.... The link you linked to was submitted AFTER mine. You confuse me.
To me, it said that after 11 weeks his blog is doing pretty darn well. I have been following his blog and watching it grow. His articles do very well on social bookmarking sites.
So, to me, I put this up here for inspiration to people to let them know that you can be very successful after just a few weeks.
Most bloggers say it takes years. This person is doing it in weeks.
How many articles get put up here that say nothing? This article said a lot without having to write a lot.
Anyway, I hope it inspired somebody else like it did me.
I am sorry then. To me, Patrick's post made me inspired. I thought it might have done the same for others..... Oh well
I hope at least one person can comment that the post made them a little inspired so I don't feel totally embarrassed. :)
I am not talking about management. I think they are great here. I was referring to previous discussion posts who are "calling out" people that are making it to the front page and then insulting them.

Danny, thank you for commenting. What do you mean by linkbaiting. I understand the term, but, to me, link baiting means you have a great headline with great info in it.

Once again, thank you Danny for replying. I think I understand a little more what you mean. I have only known about this site for a few weeks, so no posts have really annoyed me yet. (Except for the obvious spam).
But, being as I am new, I was alarmed at the discussion post that was on the FRONT page of your site, tearing apart one of the ladies posts that was on the front page.
I don't want to feel "Called Out" if I accidentally put up something somebody doesn't like. That can hurt my reputation. I don't mind being called out in my out thread, but, not in a separate post that ends up making it to the front page.
I think if you want to build a community, the posters should feel safe enough to post.
With that said, I really enjoy this site and the community and I can't wait to see it grow.

Some people said they could only get through about 1/2 of it. I personally watched the whole thing. It's worth it just because it's Joel Comm..... I don't know if that makes any sense or not :)
I got those 20,000 hits in 1 day...... That page stayed hot for a while... Unfortunately, I couldn't get the page hot with good ads.
I feel bad because this person seems to have very little computer knowledge. I would hate for him to rely on "False" dreams.
I am in no way inclining that the sites you create should be spam sites. That is ridiculous.
People who submit to article directories are writing their articles on something specific. A lot of times it doesn't always have things to do with their main website.
It would be a lot less confusing for the article readers if they can go to a website (a wordress or blogger blog) that talks SPECIFICALLY on the subject of the articles.
That is why you should create a blogger site for 1 article and a wordpress for the other. You can compare stats.
As for the writing 2 posts a day (that was not on EVERY site). That was for your main site.
