A UK based DP? Interesting....you think he's using adsense for search to make a little in the meantime?

Sorry, this is a little off topic but...

It does amuse me that Microsoft is not included!

Silverlight v Flash?

Adobe is so dominent with 98% of the world's computers already have flash player installed. Why has Microsoft even attempted to compete? Have they not learnt with their attempt to take on Google as the number one search engine?

Was it just me - When the new "flavor" of Google trends was officially announced on Googles blog, it didn't work? It seems fine now, but for the first 24 hours, I just kept receiving an error message??

I'd say yes! It is evil and a somewhat temporary solution to benefitting from high rankings. Sometimes it may take a while, but Google always cleans up in the end...

@MikeDammann

"What they do is very effective, makes them money fast, so when Google catches up, they have already made their profit."

This backs up the first point I made

"It is evil and a somewhat temporary solution to benefitting from high rankings. "

As for the preview of an upcoming interview at firetown.com; I just can't take it seriously, the interview sounds like something you might hear on MGS4

"3 years ago a group of guys name a project 'the clipper initiative'. It was named after the project Bill Clinton started in hopes of embedding all computer motherboards with a chip that recorded all user actions on it."

I'm sure these guys are good at what they do, but the way this interview reads; I could write a post about a secret society that nobody knows about who make money from black hat techniques the world has never seen with codenames such as "the clipper".

Like I've said, I'm sure these guys are good but, black hat is and will always be a temporary solution.

I don't want to come across as if I'm taking the piss, just voicing my opinion.
