Yes, it's different. EBay made it public, which makes it a business choice, while those who just bypass affiliate networks which helped them grow that big are not honest. Bribing those top 10 affiliates to work directly with them looks like stealing clients from your partner. I think the partners have the right to know.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing that search marketers discovered StumbleUpon. It's like in heaven, when Adam and Eve discovered knowledge: they were ashamed with their nudity. Knowledge is not a bad thing at all, but it awakened the shame feeling deep inside those two. In this sense, we could say life on SU was better before: now we are more careful not to damage our power account than to offer a friend a nice day and write a review about a thing she values and we don't care about. But the quality shall prime.
Story: Blogrush is a scam
I fully agree. I got the same message this morning. They didn't even bother to check that I uninstalled their widget one month ago
Maybe they are just closing the shop and send this message to everybody. I got one too.
Thank you, drmadcow. But if you saw an article which fits very well into a post you write, would you link to it even if that blog did not have any PR, or even if that page was not cached by Google yet? Or would you rather select your sources according to more than one criterion?
I'm sorry Gamermk, for misleading you, I thought I made it clear it's a link to a group writing project. Those are usually organized just like you've just seen. However, we all learn as we go, so at a point, many lists out there will become better written. Thank you very much for your input, it was really useful.
Although the article could have included more details, it was nice to notice the joy of the author when seeing such figures in his statistics. It reminded me of the first time I've experienced the power of social networking.
Ha, ha! No, I wrote the post some time ago. However, I was very amused by that sports bra test.
Ha, ha! I liked it. If it did not convince me to buy the bra, it definitely gave me a vision of my breasts I did not have before :)
