Story: SEO Resistant Search
SEO, when done with good intentions, is actually good for search engines; it helps them discover and evaluate relevant content.
good interview, you can now do a course on SEO? sad thing nobody knows the facts except those that work at Google.
Didn't give a thorough argument against anchor text, you can persue both at the same time.
quite intuitive, am not sure SE's take these things into much consideration though!
I like "dumb down", it ,means explaining things in the easiest posible terms, which is the advice given in the article. "tell it like it is" is like telling the client to face the truth.
I guess if you can't beat them,.... this is bad news though, we're about to end up with just 2 search engines, Google v. MS/Yahoo
Ajax killed the 'Page View'. It makes sense, its very easy for sites like youtube to be measured innacurately.
its something you constantly have to worry about, especially if you run an e-comerce website!
Google needs to change the way it evaluates the original author, the way they do it currently, someone can copy you and outrank you just because they have better pagrank.
They tried about this time last year, i wonder whether the guys at Yahoo will give in this time round!
congratulations for getting them to change their decision, atleast part of it!
thankfully Google is the king of the castle; they don't have to slug it out, otherwise that'd be one ugly page!
