I first noticed it 2 days ago on my submissions. In fact, it's quite obvious they do not bother to read at all - the moment they see the word 'marketing' they bury or vote it down. Wasn't too pleased but decided not to bother for similar reasons stated by Maki. Anyway it wouldn't be productive for me personally to go toe to toe - for every one that votes a story down, there's just as likely another who'll vote it up and help spread the word.
I wonder if it's similar in South Korea, with likeness in infrastructure and culture, especially in Seoul.
I have a similar opinion to that of pittfall's. Facebook is primarily a social tool about the user and his/her network. SU goes beyond that and has a better focus on content. And SU is a more useful 'timewasting' tool than Facebook. ;)
Not righteousness really, just being able to sleep peacefully at night without wondering if someone else out there might be having a bad time because of me. :) Thanks Monika!
How come I never seem to get these search queries? It'd make some of my days lighter...
A good post although while worrying, concentrating on providing quality content will never be enough. It is fundamental, but up to each of us to improve other areas to better our arsenal in surviving and to prosper in this industry.
Perhaps now with this increase I can stop worrying about spelling for a US audience.
I think many people get lonelier and more disconnected when they get older.
