According to Google Public Relations, it's live for all searches. Now, images and videos show up in the search results based on their inbound links and other ranking factors. Universal Search doesn't seem to be the addition of other media, but the possiblity for that other media to rank if it has enough links and relavancy.

Yea, Yahoo Mash has a long way to go before beating out Facebook. But I'll be interesting to see where it's headed.

I had an adapter too so that I could share an outlet and it worked pretty well.
I've heard of a few of these, but that Netvibes like Dashboard plugin looks pretty fun!
No, it's not a blog killer. Ad blocking has been out a long time and you have to have a level of geek knowledge to install and run it. It won't kill anything until it becomes a browser feature that comes turned on.
