I like Wordpress 2.5 as well with more AJAXified admin panel and the fast loading. I guess most bloggers are whining because of the change of locations for some functions because they are so used to the old locations.

If I am an advertiser, I will not once decide where to place my money based on a Alexa chart. For me, the Alexa chart is more of a comparison tool for blogs within the same niche. However, I still need actual traffis stats for detailed studies.
I have to agree that most bloggers are all-in-one creatures and as me myself is one of them, I would say that it can't be help. Startup bloggers don't need much capital.
